MJohn ilton’s The Practical Bee-Keeper is as concise as its extended title claims it to be. This author manages to touch briefly on numerous topics in this short piece. In the first sixty six pages, Milton includes a brief description of bees themselves, followed by a brief overview of over ten different types of hives, and a brief description of the various types of honey found in different regions. Milton's aim, as he tells the reader, was to help improve management of this important aspect of the rural economy.
