+====== Livers, Susie Dearing ======
+Susie Dearing Livers of Boston arrived in 1903, a member of the class of 1907 and the third woman to earn a B.S. from Mass Aggie. A very good student, she assembled a small herbarium and wrote poetry. She lived in the newly built [[d:draper_hall|Draper Hall]] and attended many MAC dances, where most of the females were imported (her surviving dance cards indicate that she spent plenty of time on the dance floor). She even served on the junior prom committee. In the 1905 Index, "Lucie D. Liver-Us" is listed as treasurer of "Le Basketball Association" (the names of the other officers are similarly waggish).
+After graduation Livers worked for the Boston publisher Ginn & Company, then as a detail officer at the State School for Girls in Lancaster, Mass., where she also served as a teacher of gardening. Her papers, held in Special Collections and University Archives, contain some material from her student days, including a scrapbook, class papers, dance cards, and herbarium samples.
