The University of Massachusetts College of Education is a college within the university. Founded in 1907 as the Department of Agricultural Education, it renamed in 1932. During this period, it is possible that it was dissolved, as the college claims to have been founded in 1955 as the Department of Education. In 1956, it was renamed to the School of Education, and was renamed on 1 July 2013 to the College of Education.
